CCAY 2013/2014 CALL FOR PROJECTS |

In partnership with the Department of Canadian Heritage, the National Association of Friendship Centres (NAFC) and the Regroupement des centres d’amitié autochtones du Québec (RCAAQ) are requesting project proposals for ‘Cultural Connections for Aboriginal Youth’ (CCAY) for the 2013/2014 fiscal year.
Please contact the RCAAQ to receive a copy of the CCAY requirements and the Project Application Form.
A proposal assessment committee has been established in Québec to assess proposals and make funding recommendations to the NAFC Board of Directors.
Your project must correspond with the format of the application form.
Applications will be accepted by mail only, however, the RCAAQ will not be responsible for any lost or misdirected applications.
Applications for projects must be received no later than Friday, March 29, 2013 end of business: 4:30 pm at the:

Nomination of Ms Tanya Sirois as the Executive Director of the RCAAQ |

The Board of Directors of the Regroupement des centres d’amitié autochtones du Québec (RCAAQ) is proud to announce the appointment of Ms. Tanya Sirois to the position of Executive Director.
Ms. Sirois has been working with the RCAAQ since 2009 as Administrative, Accounting and Finance Coordinator. Her management skills and in-depth knowledge of the Native Friendship Centre Movement make her exceptionally well-suited to take on this stimulating challenge. Of Innu origin, Ms. Sirois understands urban realities and is motivated by the well-being of Aboriginal citizens. The Board of Directors is confident that she will carry out her new duties with diligence and commitment.
The RCAAQ is continuing with its mission to defend the rights and interests of urban Aboriginal citizens and to support the Native Friendship Centres in accomplishing their mission. There are ten Native Friendship Centres in Quebec, with one located in each of Chibougamau, Val-d’Or, La Tuque, Montreal, Senneterre, Quebec City, Joliette, Sept-Îles, Saguenay and Trois-Rivières.

We are very proud to introduce this dynamic communication and information tool which, we believe, will contribute to better defining the Regroupement des centres d’amitié autochtones du Québec as privileged interlocutor with regards to urban issues affecting Aboriginals in urban settings. Through this website, the Native Friendship Centre Movement wishes to inform you on the work, the struggles and the services provided in a true concern of understanding and sharing the world surrounding us.
