Research activities are in line with the intervention priorities of the Regroupement des Centres d’amitié autochtones du Québec (RCAAQ). The RCAAQ is aware that research, evaluation and knowledge mobilization are essential tools for the development of the Quebec Native Friendship Centre Movement, and for the growth and quality of life of urban Indigenous people. That’s why, in December 2023, the RCAAQ created its Observatory of Urban Indigenous Realities, whose mission is to gather, understand and share knowledge related to urban Indigenous issues, while placing First Nations and Inuit knowledge and expertise at the heart of its action for the benefit of society as a whole.
